Membership association for golf greenkeepers. Approximately 6,000 members predominantly from the UK though we have a small proportion of International (including Republic of Ireland) members.
Key Objectives:
BIGGA has three core strategic objectives:
- Serve the needs of our members
- Support the health and growth of the game of golf
- Provide leadership to the golf industry in the area of course management
These aims are supported and achieved in a number of ways:
We focus on education, both formal and informal, providing the industry recognised CPD system and the acknowledged foremost award in the industry, Master Greenkeeper
Our conference and exhibition, BTME, is unquestionably the single most influential education event in UK golf. Typically providing over 6,000 hours of education in four days, equivalent to more than two hours for every golf club in the UK.
Our Membership Services team provides a wide range of technical, vocational and personal support to our members.
We have 27 staff of whom 19 are based at our headquarters, BIGGA House.
