BASIS set to unveil Improvements for amenity sector at GroundsFest 2025

BASIS Registration Ltd is delighted to announce its debut at GroundsFest 2025, taking place on the 9th and 10th September. Visitors can find BASIS at Stand L18, where the organisation will showcase its evolving vision and enhanced offer and services for all involved in the amenity sector.

This debut marks a significant step in BASIS’s ambition to listen, learn and respond to the needs of professionals working in amenity management including green spaces, streets and pavements, transport networks, parks, lawncare and all aspects of sports turf and wider grounds management.

“The amenity sector is a vital part of our remit,” said Professor John Moverley OBE, Vice-Chair of the BASIS Board of Trustees.  “We recognise the need to better understand the sector’s priorities in order to improve what we offer. That’s why we launched a comprehensive external review earlier this year. At GroundsFest, we’ll be sharing what we’ve learned – and, crucially, seeking feedback on our proposals that will shape the next phase of our work. We recognise the need to deliver provision fully in line with sector needs in an easily understood and accessible form”

Corrina Urquhart, BASIS Chief Executive Officer, added:

“As first-time exhibitors at GroundsFest, we’re keen to listen, learn, and collaborate. During the BASIS seminar, I’ll outline our long-term commitment to delivering services that are not only current but genuinely fit for purpose for the full diversity of the amenity sector.”

As part of this renewed focus, both John and Corrina will speak at 3:00 PM on the opening day (9th September). Their seminar, “What’s Changing at BASIS’’ will highlight upcoming developments and reaffirm BASIS’s strengthened commitment to the sector.

BASIS will host a Knowledge Trail at the event, starting from Stand L18 and involving key industry partners. Designed to encourage interaction, learning, and discovery, the trail offers attendees the chance to earn BASIS Continued Professional Development (CPD) points whilst exploring a range of important topics across the event.

In addition, BASIS will be promoting its wide range of training opportunities, available both online and in person. These include the Principles of Sustainable Amenity Management Classroom series, with a focus on policy developments, environmental management, biodiversity, carbon reduction and pollution, soil and water management, and importantly how to adopt integrated management approaches. GroundsFest attendees have the opportunity to take advantage of a 10% discount on this amenity focused online course.
